Guidance for Law Graduates and Trainees

Understand the profession and build your skills step by step. This page offers free general information and introduces the firm’s paid learning and practical guidance programme for graduates and trainees.
A suggested first 90 days
- Days 1–30: check registration requirements with the Bar Association; practise organising files, finding official sources and maintaining confidentiality.
- Days 31–60: practise summarising facts, building timelines, distinguishing allegations from evidence and drafting under a lawyer’s supervision.
- Days 61–90: prepare educational work samples without client information, review mistakes with your supervisor and identify an area to develop.
Confidentiality and professional conduct
Do not use client files in your portfolio or publish client names or documents. Do not claim a professional status you do not hold or provide independent advice outside your authorised and supervised role.
Learning and practical guidance programme
The firm confirms an internal paid programme covering learning, guidance, organising procedures and practical follow-up. Guidance is provided to all accepted participants (100% of accepted participants). Sessions, tasks, supervision, duration and fees are explained before enrolment. In your enquiry, include your graduation year, location, registration status and the area you would like to develop.
The 100% figure describes guidance coverage for accepted participants, not a guaranteed examination result or skill level. Programme scope, responsibilities and enrolment terms are agreed in writing before starting.
